We have an exciting opportunity available for a permanent Urgent Care Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Team. You will be part of a forward thinking and dynamic directorate who have recently been recognised for their achievements by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. We are currently working in alliance with James Cook and Redcar.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be working as part of a well established urgent care team and the wider multi disciplinary team to promote a good patient experience within the Trust.
Person specification
- Registered First Level Degree Nurse or paramedic
- Physical Assessment & Disease Management skills
- Paediatric Clinical Skills
- Minor Injury Experience
- Masters in Advanced Nursing Practice or willingness to undertake
Experience
- Recent experience working in an autonomous practice role
- Experience at band 6/7 in an acute setting
- X-ray interpretation
- Experience of working to protocols or guidelines

Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)
It is the policy of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust who require DBS clearance for the post they have been offered, are required to pay the cost for their DBS certificate. The method of payment for this is via salary deduction from your first month's pay on commencement with the Trust. The DBS check will be undertaken during the pre-employment check screening.
New Starters – Probationary Period
For any new employees commencing employment with North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, you will be subject to satisfactory completion of a 6 month probationary period. Please note that internal applications and individuals that are appointed to fixed term appointments of less than 6 months duration are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or a bank member of staff).

Working Hours
