This is an exciting opportunity to join our respiratory Service.
Main duties of the job:
- To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care.
- To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management.
- To interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical facts to form an accurate diagnosis and prognoses in a wide range of complex conditions, to recommend the best course of intervention, and to develop comprehensive discharge plans.
- To undertake the comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with a complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills, and to formulate individualised management and treatment plans, using advanced clinical reasoning, and utilising a wide range of treatment skills and options to formulate a specialised programme of care.
- To demonstrate developed dexterity, co-ordination and palpatory senses for assessment and manual treatment of patients.
- To provide spontaneous and planned advice, teaching and instruction to relatives, carers and other professionals, to promote understanding of the aims of physiotherapy, and to ensure a consistent approach to care.
- To take a lead in developing excellence in the provision of Evidence Based Therapies / Interventions to people requiring Physiotherapy Intervention.
Person specification:
- Qualifications: Physiotherapy degree, Respiratory courses or qualifications, Leadership qualification or relevant level of experience.
- Experience: Experience in working as a Physiotherapist in Respiratory Settings, experience of working in pulmonary rehabilitation.
- Skills: Hold a valid UK Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
