The post-holder is responsible for ensuring project deliverables are effectively managed in collaboration with the wider project and stakeholder teams. Working closely with Clinical Service Units, Corporate services and Finance Business Partners, as well as working alongside the current Service Improvement Office at South Tees, you will establish relationships to assist in delivering a portfolio of projects.
Main duties of the job:
- Support and facilitate the delivery of projects and improvements using a framework to ensure they are well planned, efficiently implemented and predetermined benefits are realised.
- Ability to deliver projects that are transformational, innovative and/or provide productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure that robust data collection processes are in place to allow appropriate analysis and create baseline measures in order to monitor and report actual benefits as a measure of success.
- Effective agreement and communication of project justification, aims, objectives and benefits with all key stakeholders.
- Continued communication through the life of the projects progress to all, highlighting exceptions and/or risks and ensuring mitigating actions are identified and actioned to keep the project on track.
- Able to identify appropriate services to support with planning, developing and evaluating methods for gathering complex analyses and interpretations to review relevant data.
- Ensure project deliverables are met by the project team and that these are aligned to the Trust’s strategic aim.
- Apply specialist skills and knowledge to react to unplanned situations, for example, being able to act quickly to realign a project plan as healthcare environments change daily.
- Responsible for tracking/monitoring of all allocated projects with an understanding of associated risks and initiating mitigating actions where appropriate.
- Responsible for own learning and development including identifying any areas of learning that might add to the knowledge base within the team and its stakeholders.
- Coordinating and facilitating complex information to provide assurance to executive and board level.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team.
Person specification:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in project management or a related field.
- Management and/or Change Management qualification.
