About Nteractive: We create incredible live event experiences for global brands across the tech and lifestyle sectors – the sort that really make a difference. We’re looking for a passionate and practical Sustainability Manager to help embed sustainability across our event lifecycle — from initial brief through to post‑event reporting. This role plays a key part in integrating sustainable practices into how we design and deliver events, while supporting our journey toward ISO 20121 and ISO 14001 certification.

Working closely with project teams, clients, and suppliers, you’ll help design practical and commercially sensible solutions that reduce environmental impact while maintaining exceptional event experiences. You’ll also support the continued development of Better Choices by Nteractive, our strategic framework focused on balancing our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Event Sustainability Integration: Partner with producers, project managers, and area leads to embed sustainable practices across event design and delivery. Support clients in setting and achieving sustainability goals through workshops and planning sessions. Develop event sustainability plans aligned with client objectives and Nteractive’s ESG strategy. Advise on supplier requirements, sustainability KPIs, and briefing documentation. Act as Sustainability Manager on client programmes from planning through onsite delivery and debrief. Support venue sourcing through sustainability assessments.
  • Supplier & Data Management: Develop and manage supply‑chain data collection processes. Support teams and suppliers in gathering event carbon and sustainability data using tools such as TRACE by isla. Improve supplier reporting, transparency, and corrective action processes. Enhance internal workflows that support sustainable event delivery.
  • Measurement, Reporting & Insights: Measure event impacts including travel, energy, waste, and materials. Produce clear, client‑ready sustainability reports following events. Track performance against targets and recommend improvements. Develop internal dashboards and insights to support data‑driven decision making. Contribute to ESG reporting by consolidating event‑level data.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Research and implement sustainable materials, suppliers, and delivery methods. Evaluate supplier innovations and identify scalable solutions. Capture lessons learned and embed them into processes, templates, and SOPs.
  • Training & Engagement: Create toolkits and guidance to help teams deliver sustainable events. Train and mentor colleagues on sustainability best practice. Support training content for the Nteractive Academy. Build knowledge resources to support our Better Choices framework. Contribute to client workshops and case studies.
  • Governance & Compliance: Support the development of systems aligned with ISO 20121 and ISO 14001. Conduct internal checks to ensure sustainability tools and practices are adopted. Maintain documentation, templates, and records related to sustainability processes. Support compliance with client requirements and regulatory obligations.

What You Will Bring

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to simplify complex sustainability topics.
  • Strong attention to detail and evidence‑based decision making.
  • Confidence managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach and ability to influence across teams.
  • Curiosity and resilience when driving change.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sustainability or environmental management.
  • Event agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience integrating sustainability into event production (venues, logistics, materials, catering, waste).
  • Strong data analysis skills including supplier data collection and Excel reporting.
  • Experience working with clients, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Knowledge of ISO 20121 and ISO 14001 frameworks desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint). Power BI knowledge beneficial.
  • Relevant degree or professional training in sustainability, environmental science, or related field.
