£30,000 to £40,000 Stafford
We’re looking for a Technical & Compliance Supervisor to look after food safety, quality, and compliance across a fresh produce operation. This is a hands-on role, split between paperwork and the factory floor. You’ll be making sure standards are followed in practice, not just on paper. Supporting teams day to day while keeping audits, legislation, and customer requirements covered.
What the role involves:
- Keeping site compliance up to date with BRCGS, Red Tractor, and UK food safety legislation
- Making sure HACCP and food safety procedures are current, practical, and followed
- Supporting external audits and customer visits, including prep and follow-up actions
- Managing technical documentation, records, and traceability
- Maintaining product specs, supplier approvals, and risk assessments
- Investigating complaints, near misses, and non-conformances, and seeing actions through
- Carrying out routine checks, hygiene inspections, and compliance reviews
- Being present on the factory floor and packhouse, monitoring standards and supporting teams
- Working closely with production to resolve issues without slowing operations
- Supporting food safety, hygiene, and quality training on site
- Identifying risks and improvement opportunities within technical systems
- Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and industry standards
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a technical or compliance role within food or fresh produce
- Comfortable dealing with audits, documentation, and day-to-day site issues
- Organised, detail-focused, and practical in approach
- Confident working with production teams on the floor
