You’ll have full ownership of compliance and operational standards, and be the person who sets the tone for safety, performance, and culture across multiple sites. It’s senior. It’s visible. And it genuinely matters.
What You’ll LeadYou will take the wheel on all things transport, from legal & safety to efficiency and commercials. You’ll be trusted with end-to-end accountability for:
- Full Operator Licence, compliance & OCRS performance
- Setting the benchmark for safety, behaviour, and professional standards
- Leading recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, and overall driver engagement
- Delivering the Transport Safety Plan and driving a proactive safety culture
- Reducing accident, damage, and fuel-related costs while improving MPG and operational efficiency
- Using data, trends, and telemetry insights to elevate driving standards and minimise risk
- Working closely with Operations & SHEQ leadership to deliver ambitious KPIs and support business-wide growth
- Travel across key operating centres including Middlesbrough, Hull, Immingham and Runcorn
