As Head of Business Development, you'll lead the charge in expanding the company's footprint across the UK — securing new contracts, nurturing existing relationships, and developing integrated Soft and Hard FM solutions that deliver real value for clients.

The Role- Lead and inspire a small, high‐performing team including Bid and Project professionals.
- Develop and deliver a growth strategy focused on winning profitable new business and retaining key accounts.
- Identify and qualify opportunities across public and private sector markets.
- Lead the end‐to‐end tender process — from opportunity sourcing and bid writing to presentation and negotiation.
- Produce high‐quality, client‐focused proposals that highlight innovation, value, and service excellence.
- Prepare detailed cost models and commercial analyses in collaboration with the senior leadership team.
- Manage client relationships through to successful contract mobilisation, ensuring seamless operational handovers.
- Collaborate cross‐functionally with Operations, Finance, and HR to ensure bids are deliverable and profitable.
- Represent the business at industry events, client meetings, and networking forums to elevate brand awareness.
- Provide regular pipeline, performance, and forecasting reports to the Commercial Director.
- Proven success in Business Development, Commercial Management, or Sales Leadership within Facilities Management, Building Services, or related sectors.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing bids and business development teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication — with the ability to craft compelling, well‐structured proposals.
- Commercially astute, with confidence in financial modelling and margin management.
- Solid understanding of FM operations, service delivery, and mobilisation processes.
- Resilient, driven, and results‐oriented with a collaborative, professional approach.
- A confident networker who builds long‐term client partnerships.
- Base Salary: £75,000 per annum
- Car Allowance: £8,400 per annum (£700 per month)
- Matched Pension Contributions: Up to 6% from the employer (when matched by the employee).
