We are looking for an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with a strong background in HV Private Networks to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering engineering solutions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of HV and LV electrical systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and in line with specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop technical proposals and engineering solutions in collaboration with the HV Operations Manager.
  • Manage projects to meet client requirements, ensuring delivery to specification, budget, and schedule.
  • Provide clear direction, communication, and leadership to site teams and workforce.
  • Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture, ensuring full compliance at all times.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to company quality standards.
  • Deliver HV construction and asset replacement projects (11kV–33kV).
  • Plan and carry out HV switching, isolation, earthing, and issue relevant safety documentation.
  • Conduct on-site testing and commissioning of HV distribution systems.

Requirements

  • Essential: HV Senior Authorisation (e.g., DNO or equivalent) with proven HV Private Networks experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an electrical contracting environment.
  • Strong technical expertise combined with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a structured, safety-first approach.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering (Power Distribution) is desirable.
