You'll work closely with senior management, drivers, customers, and our compliance team to keep things running efficiently, legally, and smoothly, even when the pressure is on. If you think ahead instead of constantly firefighting, and take real pride in running a tight operation, we'd like to talk to you.

- Managing driver schedules and route allocation
- Keeping communication sharp with drivers and customers throughout the day
- Monitoring vehicle availability against operational needs
- Supporting compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time, and Operator Licence requirements
- Handling operational issues calmly and decisively, without losing control of the day
- Liaising with the workshop/compliance team on defects, maintenance, and vehicle availability
- Planning work that's both commercially efficient and fully compliant
- Helping shape and improve our operational systems and processes over time
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- Proven experience in a Transport Planner role
- Strong geographical knowledge
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work under pressure without passing that pressure on to others
- A solid grasp of transport compliance and Drivers' Hours rules
- Hands-on experience with transport planning systems
- A professional, solutions-first mindset and sharp attention to detail
Desirable:
- HGV operations experience
- Familiarity with FORS / DVSA compliance expectations
- Understanding of vehicle maintenance planning
- Experience working alongside compliance or transport management teams
You'll Fit Right In If You're
- Calm under pressure
- Reliable and accountable
- Forward-thinking
- Respectful but confident
- A strong team player
- Someone who naturally brings structure and stability wherever you go
What's In It For You
- A stable, well-run, supportive environment
- A genuine voice in shaping how the operation runs
- Direct involvement in improving systems and standards
