Warehouse Team Manager – Coventry £42,327.71 + £3,000 shift allowance | 4 on 4 off, alternating days and nights Are you the kind of manager who walks the floor before anyone asks you to? We’re working with the sole distributor for Starbucks to find a Warehouse Team Manager for their busy temperature-controlled depot in Coventry, where fresh, chilled, ambient and frozen goods move around the clock. You’ll lead a shift of around 30 warehouse operatives, joining a team of 8 Team Managers. This is a hands-on role for someone who looks after their people but isn’t afraid to hold them to a high standard. What you’ll be doing * Leading, motivating and organising a shift of around 30 operatives across goods-in, picking, loading and dispatch * Planning labour against volume at the start of each shift and re-planning as the shift changes * Finding the work: clearing backlogs, fixing bottlenecks and making sure every order leaves complete and on time * Having honest conversations about absence, performance and conduct, fairly and promptly * Running return-to-work interviews, performance reviews, disciplinaries and grievances * Owning your shift’s productivity, accuracy, temperature control and safety * Training operatives, developing future leaders and handing over clearly to the next shift What we’re looking for * Proven experience leading a team of 15 or more in a warehouse or distribution centre * A track record of handling difficult people issues yourself, not passing them on * Real initiative: you see what needs doing and get on with it * Confidence with KPIs, labour planning, warehouse systems and Microsoft Office * Happy to work 4 on 4 off, alternating days (06:00–18:00) and nights (18:00–06:00) * Temperature-controlled, food or FMCG distribution experience is a real advantage What you’ll get * £42,327.71 basic plus £3,000 shift allowance (over £45,000 total) * Market-leading pension that grows with your service * Life assurance up to 4x your salary * Up to 20% off at retailers across the UK * Free on-site parking * Employee assistance programme * Regular training and genuine career progression If you’re a leader who finds the work, backs your people and gets things done, apply today
