Business Development Manager – Fine Dining & Fresh Produce

Hybrid – Waltham Cross office 1–2 days per week, client-facing and remote the rest of the week

£50,000 basic + £10,000 performance-based bonus

On behalf of a long-standing client in the premium fresh produce industry, we’re looking to appoint a Commercial Development Manager to help drive new revenue within London’s high-end hospitality sector. This is a key commercial hire, following a team restructure, with the goal of bringing in someone who truly understands the food scene and how to speak the language of chefs and restaurateurs.

This role would suit someone with a background in fine dining or hospitality — such as an ex-chef, restaurant manager, or someone who has previously worked in sales within the food industry — and who is now ready to take ownership of new business generation in a fast-paced, growing business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Identifying, targeting, and winning new business across the London restaurant and hospitality market
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with chefs, GMs, and food buyers
  • Hosting tastings, attending site visits, and confidently presenting products to prospective clients
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams (customer service, buying, operations) to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
  • Managing your own pipeline and working towards agreed revenue and margin targets
  • Acting as a brand ambassador with a genuine passion for quality, produce, and food culture

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Someone who has worked as a chef, restaurant manager, or in a senior FOH position within fine dining or premium hospitality
  • A commercially aware individual with a natural flair for building relationships
  • Ideally, someone who has already made a first step into a sales, account management, or commercial role – but we’ll also consider strong hospitality professionals looking to transition
  • Confident, driven, and able to work independently to build a patch from the ground up
  • Passionate about seasonal produce, restaurant culture, and delivering quality

The Package & Working Model:

  • £50,000 basic salary + £10,000 performance bonus
  • Hybrid model: 1–2 days in Waltham Cross HQ, rest of the time remote or in the field
  • Supportive commercial manager and wider operations team
  • Flat structure – no red tape, high trust environment
  • Excellent opportunity to grow with the business
