Are you an experienced electrical engineer who's happiest out on the road, solving real faults on real equipment, rather than stuck behind a desk?

We're working with a world class specialist in low voltage circuit breakers and electrical distribution equipment, trusted across marine, industrial and commercial building projects globally. They're looking for a Service Engineer to join their field based Service team, covering inspection, maintenance, repair and commissioning of LV switchboards and circuit breakers across the UK, with occasional overseas travel.

What you'll be doing:

  • Diagnosing and fixing electrical faults on LV switchgear and switchboards
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across marine and industrial sites
  • Writing up clear, detailed service and inspection reports
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Building genuine relationships with customers, becoming a trusted technical point of contact
  • Occasionally working on live systems (fully authorised and supported)

What you'll need:

  • HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven fault finding and maintenance experience on LV switchgear or distribution equipment
  • Strong report writing skills, you'll need to explain technical issues clearly in writing
  • Full UK driving licence and a genuine willingness to travel, including occasional overnights
  • Marine industry experience is a bonus, not essential
