Location: Scotland | Remote working

Our client is a well-established business in freight forwarding and customs brokerage with an international footprint. As the Scottish arm continues to grow, they’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join at an exciting stage. This is a new business role through and through. You’ll have the backing of an experienced operations and brokerage team, a full suite of services to sell into - import/export, customs brokerage, single brokerage, LCL and FCL, wholesale and real freedom to go out and win.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying, targeting and winning new customers across sea and air freight, LCL/FCL and customs brokerage
  • Building a strong, consistent new business pipeline through prospecting, networking and referrals
  • Presenting the company’s full service offering to senior decision-makers
  • Negotiating rates and terms in line with margin targets
  • Partnering with the operations and brokerage teams to ensure new accounts land smoothly
  • Owning your pipeline and reporting through the CRM

What We’re Looking For

  • A track record of new business success in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain sales
  • Experience with single/customs brokerage, LCL/FCL or airfreight is a strong advantage
  • A genuine hunter mentality - motivated by opening new doors, not just maintaining existing ones
  • Resilience and drive to work towards ambitious targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
