As a Centre Manager, you will oversee the effective operation of one of our Summer Schools. Your main priority will be to deliver a first-class customer experience for our clients from pre-arrival communication and on-site experience through to their departure and feedback. Part of your responsibility will be to provide a safe working environment for your team and ensure company standards are always upheld; prioritising health, safety, security and safeguarding of our guests.

Your team will look to you to lead from the front, instilling a positive, hardworking, respectful environment where everyone works together to offer the best experience for our customers.

*Accommodation is on-site. This position requires you to live and stay on-site during employment. Our locations are based in Suffolk and Somerset.

What we expect from you?

  • Effectively manage the deployment of staff, managing the rota and holiday allocation.
  • Oversee guest information communicated prior to arrival, ensuring that the individual needs of groups and individuals has been incorporated into activity programmes and shared with the relevant people on-site.
  • Regularly seek out feedback from the guests on-site, resolving any problems/concerns raised while the guests are still present.
  • Carry out routine inspections to ensure all facilities are fit and safe for purpose.
  • Carry out pre-inspections prior to external audits and be a key representative of NSX ensuring that company and external requirements are met.
  • Ensure staff enthusiasm, motivation, safety and quality standards are being met and work with Head of Operations if any staff problems or disciplinary issues arise.
  • Adopt a leadership style that is appropriate and fair and coordinate an effective and happy staff team, motivating them to accomplish their job descriptions.
  • Any additional duties that may be required to maintain a quality service.
  • Take responsibility for an exceptional customer experience.
  • Manage own time and workload effectively to focus on best value activities.
  • Administer and monitor the on-site petty cash system.
  • In accordance with Company documentation, oversee the Health, Safety and Security of anyone on site under NSX responsibility and make the necessary day to day and long-term safety decisions to apply at your school.
  • Evaluate, maintain and communicate emergency and fire procedures at your school to all staff and clients.
  • Feed back to Head Office any suggestions, amendments or safety critical incidents or near misses.
  • Assist and coordinate treatment of any person requiring medical help.

About NSX: NSX is an independent summer language school provider with 2 centres across England. Our summer schools are open for 4 weeks during July and we have children aged 8 to 17 attending from all over the world for 2 week stays. During their 2-weeks, the children will participate in interactive English lessons, activities and sports, as well as embark on day trip excursions to local towns and cities. We are professional, agile and inclusive, and our management team have been operating in the study travel industry for over 40 years. We pride ourselves on having a team culture, where the primary objective is to deliver a memorable experience for children with exceptional customer service.
