What you’ll be doing:

Based at the Area Command Office in Tamworth, the Support Officer is a key contributor to the Capability Team, supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of projects and initiatives that enhance the skills, readiness and operational capability of staff and RFS volunteers across the North Western Area. Reporting to the Capability Manager, this role provides critical administrative and operational support to ensure fleet and equipment services are delivered efficiently, consistently and to the highest standard, while proactively identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses an understanding of fire behaviour and bushfire prevention and mitigation strategies, or is willing to learn
  • Possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Provides high quality customer service to internal and external customers
  • Is team focused and goal oriented, able to support a team towards successful outcomes
  • MR driver licence
  • Forklift licence (Desirable)
