ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

This opportunity offers:

  • Temporary employment up to 21 January 2027
  • Part-time opportunity up to 21 hours per week. A talent pool may be established to support future ongoing and temporary part-time and full-time vacancies across the Tamworth District.
  • RFS Level 2/3
  • Attractive prorated annual salary $79,051 - $85,938 p.a. plus 12% superannuation
  • Location: Tamworth (hybrid/flexible working arrangements considered)

What you’ll be doing:

If you thrive in a busy, people-focused environment, this role offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact. You'll deliver high-quality customer service to volunteer members, members of the public, and key stakeholders while managing a diverse range of administrative responsibilities, including inbox management, drafting complex correspondence, minute taking, and data management.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills, and the flexibility to adapt as priorities evolve. You'll enjoy balancing multiple tasks, solving problems, and contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.


To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Well-developed administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
  • A genuine passion for customer service, using their excellent communication skills to effectively support and collaborate with volunteer members, members of the public, and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and contribute positively as part of a dynamic and collaborative team.
