Where you'll be working
The Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital (TRRH) is a 300-bed rural referral teaching hospital offering a comprehensive range of services, including medical specialties such as neurology, renal, cardiology, respiratory, gastroenterology, oncology and rehabilitation, as well as general and specialist surgery, obstetrics, paediatrics and mental health. Critical care services include a Level 5 Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit, and one of the busiest regional Emergency Departments in NSW. A broad range of specialist outpatient clinics plus medical and radiation oncology supports patients across the region. Tamworth is a vibrant regional city with good schools, good food and a relaxed lifestyle. It has the services you need – including great coffee shops – without the crazy busyness (and queues!) of a major city. Within a short drive are excellent national parks, cosy villages (more cafes!) and the fresh air and space of the country. There’s a great sporting culture along with diverse music and entertainment.
The Pharmacy Department at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital (TRRH) is an experienced and supportive team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians committed to delivering exceptional patient care. In addition to providing services at TRRH, the team also delivers clinical and pharmacy support to 12 rural and regional hospitals across the New England North West region of NSW. One of the defining strengths of our pharmacy team is our collaborative culture. We step in to support one another, share knowledge and work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients—who are also our families, friends and community.
