Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) is seeking motivated and adaptable Casual Patient Services Officers to join our Patient Services team at Tamworth Hospital.
About the Team
The Patient Services Department is located on the ground floor of Tamworth Hospital and plays a vital role in supporting patients, visitors and clinical teams. As the first point of contact for many people accessing our services, our team is committed to delivering a welcoming, professional and patient-focused experience.
About the Role
As a Casual Patient Services Officer, you'll work across the Patient Services Office and the Operating Theatres, providing outstanding customer service while supporting a range of administrative functions. Every day brings something different, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and working collaboratively with others.
Reporting to the Patient Services Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality customer service via face-to-face interactions, telephone and email enquiries.
- Supporting administrative processes including data entry, record management, correspondence and financial administration.
- Assisting with recruitment administration, payroll rosters, purchase requisitions, receipting and record keeping.
- Coordinating incoming correspondence and ensuring actions are completed within required timeframes.
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records in accordance with NSW Health and State Records requirements.
- Building positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the hospital.
- Contributing to a safe, respectful and culturally inclusive workplace that reflects the values of HNE Health and NSW Health.
