In this role, you'll:
- Lead a Test and Commissioning team as they complete a suite of test instructions on upgraded trains
- Complete static and dynamic test instructions safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot test failures to determine root cause
- Report to the Testing and Commissioning Manager on testing progress and any issues that arise
- Facilitate continuous improvement of test instructions and processes
This is an on-site position based in Newcastle, NSW. Due to the operational requirements of the role, hybrid working arrangements cannot be accommodated.
About you: You are a degree qualified engineer with experience in commissioning or maintenance of rail or other heavy vehicle or manufacturing environment, as well as being a strong communicator, lateral thinker and having refined planning skills. You are an experienced leader who is capable of both overseeing and completing a suite of test instructions. You possess strong understanding of national and international rail regulations, ensuring adherence to transport safety guidelines, Independent Regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. You have proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks, be flexible and resourceful with a high degree of initiative. You can work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and complete tasks effectively.
