A talent pool will be created for future ongoing and temporary roles within Gunnedah/Tamworth Hub, Armidale and Moree Community Corrections and is valid for a period of up to 18 months.
Salary: $102,936 pa - $113,579 pa, plus Employer’s contribution to Superannuation and Annual Leave Loading.

Your role: As a Community Corrections Officer, you will join a dedicated and dynamic team focused on offender rehabilitation and enhancing community safety. In this role, you will collaborate with individuals under supervision to develop and implement rehabilitative strategies, monitor progress toward established goals, and conduct home visits to ensure compliance with conditions.

What you’ll do: Community Corrections Officers are trained to manage cases for individuals serving community-based orders, including Parole Orders, Intensive Corrections Orders, and Community Corrections Orders. In some locations, officers also work with offenders in custody to prepare them for successful reintegration into the community upon their release on parole. This role offers extensive training opportunities and pathways for career advancement.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a mandatory four-week, in-person, paid training program at Corrective Services Brush Farm Academy, which is a key component of the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice curriculum.

What we’re looking for: People with an understanding of the NSW criminal justice system, skills in case management and an understanding of the needs of Aboriginal people and their communities. You will have a commitment to providing support and strengthening relationships between Community Corrections and local service providers as well as the local Aboriginal community.
