Objectives
- Contribute to a varied and interesting caseload
- Develop advanced clinical and surgical skills, including soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics
- Take part in continuous improvement initiatives within the surgery
- Learn from colleagues who are working towards, or already hold, clinical certificates
- Grow their career within a large, supportive veterinary group
Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of clinical care to all patients
- Provide preventative healthcare services and treat sick and injured pets
- Carry out a range of surgical procedures, with a focus on soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics where appropriate
- Promote pet well-being and support owners with clear, compassionate advice
- Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical team members
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture
- Participate in the weekend rota (1 in 4 weekends)
Requirements
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Proven experience in small animal practice
- Interest and experience in advanced soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics (desirable)
- Strong commitment to excellent patient care and customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented approach
- Willingness to take part in the weekend rota (1 in 4)
