As a Veterinary Surgeon, the successful candidate will work as part of a caring and experienced hospital team, contributing to a wide and varied medical and surgical caseload. They will play a key role in delivering high-quality, welfare-focused care while supporting the organisation's mission to help those most in need. The role offers excellent opportunities to develop clinical skills through exposure to diverse cases, collaborative case discussions and shared learning. Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality medical and surgical care across a varied and challenging caseload
- Making confident, evidence-based clinical decisions with a strong focus on animal welfare
- Discussing realistic treatment options and care plans with clients, taking individual circumstances into account
- Managing cases pragmatically while maintaining best clinical practice
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to share knowledge and expertise
- Contributing to service development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting the organisation's mission and encouraging positive client engagement
Requirements
- Be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and registered with the RCVS
- Be confident managing a diverse medical and surgical caseload
- Demonstrate resilience, adaptability and sound clinical judgement
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients
- Take a compassionate, welfare-focused and pragmatic approach to care
