The predicted salary is between 54000 - 84000 £ per year.
NSTR is currently working with a client looking for an R&D Tax Director to join their team in Manchester. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and completing claims for Research and Development tax relief, patent box relief, and various creative industry reliefs.
This will include:
- Leading client meetings on technical R&D projects
- Completing and reviewing project case study documents and claim calculations
- Client liaison throughout each claim process
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing a portfolio of key R&D clients
- Preparing R&D reports for submission to HMRC and delivering tax client services to a high standard
- Demonstrating a collaborative approach and being aware of technical risk through well-supported research
- Aiming to increase your client base through an organised approach to business development (e.g. networking, client recommendation requests, and developing referrer base)
- Confidently delivering technical advice and support to colleagues in relation to innovation incentives and tax planning for innovative companies
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in R&D tax gained from practice and/or industry
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) and/or CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA, e.g. law qualification)
- Experience of managing and delivering work to a client portfolio
- Reviewing computation and R&D calculations
- Excellent project management, working with various teams
- Demonstrable experience of managing people and clients
- Excellent communicator
- Providing advice on tax technical points to clients
- Staff management skills
