This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading IT software services organisation, supporting enterprise sales activities, driving revenue growth, and owning technical sales cycles across the UK and EMEA.
As a Pre‐Sales Solution Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth by leading the end‐to‐end technical sales cycle, including discovery, solution design, tailored demonstrations, RFPs, and Proof of Value engagement. You'll work closely with IT and Finance stakeholders to align solutions with business needs in IT cost transparency, budgeting, forecasting, and cloud cost management (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical and financial concepts into clear business outcomes.
We require experience of B2B SaaS pre‐sales or solution engineering, strong communication and C‐level engagement skills, and familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC. Understanding of FinOps and/or IT Financial Management is essential. TBM or FinOps certification is advantageous.
Key Skills- Over five years' experience in pre‐sales, solution engineering, or consulting roles within B2B SaaS, with a focus on IT Finance, FinOps, or cloud cost management.
- Ability to build relationships and influence executive‐level stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in financial management concepts, IT budgeting, cost allocation, and governance frameworks.
- Experienced in complex enterprise sales strategies and methodologies, such as MEDDPICC, RAMPACT, SPIN, Force Management, etc.
- Knowledgeable about cloud cost optimisation (Azure, AWS, GCP), TBM frameworks, ERP integrations (SAP/Oracle), and BI tools.
- Effective communicator and collaborator, able to thrive in fast‐moving, evolving environments while managing multiple enterprise stakeholders.
Prior experience in a similar Pre‐Sales or Solution Engineering role is essential. Must be able to commute to Central London 1–2 days per week. Must have experience in IT Finance, Cloud Cost Management, and FinOps.
