AI Project Manager – Data Science, ML, Compliance, Governance, Data Protection, Change, Risk, Technical, Legal, Tracking, Roadmaps, Milestones, Financial Services, Hybrid (2d/w LDN) Outside IR35

This is a fantastic AI Project Manager contract opportunity with a leading London-based tech company.

The AI Project Manager role is Hybrid, requiring 2 days a week in the London office.

The contract is Outside IR35.

As an AI Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle of AI & Data Science-related financial service projects. Proven experience managing the roadmap and governance (including Data, Compliance & Risk) of Data Science AI projects is essential. The ideal candidate must have a solid technical understanding of AI, ML & Data Science, capable of managing technical teams and stakeholders at all levels. You will act as a bridge between the business and technical teams, translating concepts effectively. Tracking projects, milestones, and interdependencies is also required. Strong Data Protection, Compliance, Legal, and governance experience, especially related to AI and regulation, is essential. Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or regulated industries with compliance, data protection, or legal aspects is preferred.

Key skills include:

• Proven track record managing AI, ML & Data Science projects
• PM experience in regulated industries – ideally Financial Services / Banking
• Strong technical understanding of AI, ML, Data Science concepts
• Data Protection
• Risk Management
• Compliance / Legal
• Excellent stakeholder management

Desirable skills:

• Hands-on or technical background in AI, ML, Data Science
• PM Certifications
• AI Certifications
• Experience in Financial Services / Banking / Compliance
