Non Standard Socket Screw Ltd is a well-established Midlands-based major stockist and manufacturer of high-quality fasteners. We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Quality Inspector to join our team. You will play a key hands-on role within a dynamic Quality team in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. This role would suit a conscientious and positive individual with an engineering background, strong attention to detail and a practical approach to achieving high standards. You will report to the Quality Manager and will be expected to work effectively as part of a team.
As a Quality Inspector, the duties include:
- First Off appraisals
- Pre-sub contract finishing inspection
- Final Inspection Reports (FIR’s)
- Preparation of FAIR & PPAP documentation
- Populating Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR’s)
- Equipment & gauge calibration
- Assisting with other duties requested by the Quality Manager
Skills Required:
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Proficient in the use of conventional measuring equipment, micrometer, vernier, shadow graph and hardness testing equipment.
- Computer literacy with Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Working in a team player role
- A knowledge of the Fastener Industry is advantageous
- Knowledge of Keyence measuring systems desirable but not essential
- A current UK driving licence is desirable
- Excellent timekeeping
Salary commensurate with experience. 38.5 hours per week - Overtime 1.33 weekdays - 1.50 Saturday Monday - Thursday 7.00am to 3.30 pm (1/2 hour lunch) - Friday 7.00am to 1.30am 31 days paid holiday (inc. Bank holidays) - pension contributions.
