Non Standard Socket Screw Ltd is a well-established Midlands-based major stockist and manufacturer of high-quality fasteners. We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Quality Inspector to join our team. You will play a key hands-on role within a dynamic Quality team in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. This role would suit a conscientious and positive individual with an engineering background, strong attention to detail and a practical approach to achieving high standards. You will report to the Quality Manager and will be expected to work effectively as part of a team.

As a Quality Inspector, the duties include:

  • First Off appraisals
  • Pre-sub contract finishing inspection
  • Final Inspection Reports (FIR’s)
  • Preparation of FAIR & PPAP documentation
  • Populating Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR’s)
  • Equipment & gauge calibration
  • Assisting with other duties requested by the Quality Manager

Skills Required:

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Proficient in the use of conventional measuring equipment, micrometer, vernier, shadow graph and hardness testing equipment.
  • Computer literacy with Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working in a team player role
  • A knowledge of the Fastener Industry is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Keyence measuring systems desirable but not essential
  • A current UK driving licence is desirable
  • Excellent timekeeping

Salary commensurate with experience. 38.5 hours per week - Overtime 1.33 weekdays - 1.50 Saturday Monday - Thursday 7.00am to 3.30 pm (1/2 hour lunch) - Friday 7.00am to 1.30am 31 days paid holiday (inc. Bank holidays) - pension contributions.
