An established, successful company is looking for reliable, long-term, permanent staff. We currently have an immediate vacancy for a Driver to join our team. Based currently in Birmingham B19 2TZ, our main distribution hub will revert to Bilston in August.
Key duties:
- Delivering goods to customers safely and on time
- Collecting materials from suppliers
- Loading and unloading vehicles securely
- Checking delivery paperwork and ensuring accuracy
- Representing the company in a professional manner at all times
- Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, roadworthy and compliant
- Adhering to all driving, health & safety and company policies
About you:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in commercial deliveries preferred
- Good knowledge of Birmingham & Black Country road network
- Physically fit (manual handling required)
- Professional, courteous and customer-focused attitude
- Strong time-keeping and reliability
Hours:
- 42 hours per week
- Monday–Thursday: 8.00am–5.30pm
- Friday: 8.00am–5.00pm
- 1 hour lunch each day
- Saturday morning overtime usually available: 7.00am–11.00am (paid at time and a half)
