THIS IS A UK BASED POSITION. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT:

  • You have UK work experience, with at least 6 months experience working as a support worker, or in a similar position.
  • Your CV clearly shows your relevant experience and qualifications.
  • Experience with Brain Injury Support is advantageous.
  • A full clean UK driver licence and access to a car that you are able to use for work purposes.

NSS PLUS LTD-NeuroSupport Services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants, with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience, to support services users with Acquired Brain Injuries. Our service aims to support rehabilitation, and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.

We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently, and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

About you - Essential Experience:

  • A car driver with a full, clean UK licence (comfortable driving the client’s car).
  • Organised, motivated, and reliable.
  • Assertive yet friendly; able to set boundaries, while keeping things positive.
  • Health aware, and able to support an active lifestyle, and promote wellbeing.
  • Fun, with a good sense of humour and a positive outlook.
  • An excellent communicator.
  • Able to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, and the client’s family.
  • Satisfactory DBS and references.
  • Experience supporting someone with a nutrition plan.

About our client: Our client is a 20-year old female, who has an acquired brain injury, is partially-sighted, and has learning difficulties. She communicates well, enjoys an active social life, and has a great sense of humour. Your role will be to support and empower her to achieve her life goals, working alongside her family and a multidisciplinary team of therapists.

You will provide support with:

  • Prompting and support with shopping, meal preparation, and domestic tasks.
  • Budgeting, and daily money management.
  • Nutrition, and weight management.
  • Transporting to/and supporting with activities.
  • Encouraging independence with daily routines.

This is a hands-on, active role, perfect for someone who enjoys variety, wants to make a genuine difference, and can strike the right balance between fun and firm guidance.

Successful Candidates will:

  • Have access to full online yearly Training.
  • Will be subject to Full Enhanced DBS.
  • Competitive Hourly Rate.

  • Food/Drink shift Allowance.
  • Partial Mileage and Travel time covered.
  • Flexible working to meet your own requirements.

  • Have at least six months experience of working in a support worker role or similar, in the past three years.
  • Must have a Full UK Driving License and access to your own car.
  • Have Experience in the field of Psychology is advantageous.
  • Willing to become self-employed.
