Female Support Worker Location: Spalding, PE12 Salary: £12.75–£14.25 per hour (DOE) Job Type: Self-Employed / Flexible (Part-time) Driver Essential: Yes Start Date: ASAP Hours: Monday: 10am to 1pm Wednesday: 10am to 1pm Thursday: 10am to 1pm NSS PLUS LTD (NeuroSupport Services) is a specialist provider dedicated to helping individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) regain independence and improve their quality of life. We are currently seeking professional Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire. The Role Our client is a 72F, who requires support with daily living skills, and mobility due to a lower limb amputation. The client lives with her partner, and their two very friendly dogs. She also spends a significant amount of time at her caravan in Sutton-on-Sea. Ideally, the support worker will be able to provide support both at her home and at the caravan. The client is currently highly dependent on her husband for all aspects of her daily living. The aim of the support package is to improve the client\’s quality of life, and support her in becoming more independent. The support worker will be required to complete detailed daily logs on \’Log My Care\’, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to support and implement therapy goals. Client has a prosthetic limb, and also uses a wheel chair. — Key responsibilities: – Support with physio and OT goals – Help with daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping) – Support people to attend appointments (medical, social, etc.) – Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, medication reminders – if required) – Encourage and support independence – Support to take part in community activities (clubs, walks, social events) – Follow care plans, including therapy exercises from physios or occupational therapists – Provide companionship and emotional support in a home setting – Walk the client\’s dogs with her – Help her get to appointments – Support her with shopping or errands – Assist with exercises set by healthcare professionals – Give her partner some relief from caring duties Mandatory Requirements To be considered, candidates MUST meet the following criteria: * UK Experience: At least 6 months of UK-based support worker experience (within the last 3 years). * Licence: A full, clean UK Driving Licence, and access to a car for work use. * Communication: Clear, fluent English is essential. * Status: Applicants must be willing to work on a self-employed basis. * CV: Your CV must clearly highlight your relevant experience and qualifications. Preferred Candidate Profile * Experience in Brain Injury (ABI/TBI), stroke, dementia, or aphasia is highly advantageous. * Background in Psychology (Graduates are encouraged to apply), or as a Therapy Assistant, Rehabilitation Support Worker, Healthcare Assistants or Care Worker * Ability to work on your own initiative while being a key part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). * Strong organizational skills and basic IT literacy (Word/Excel).
