Do you have a proven track record of delivering major industrial and cold storage developments within a Tier 1 main contractor environment? This is a senior leadership role responsible for the successful delivery of complex, high-value programmes from pre-construction through to commissioning and operational handover. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the planning and delivery of the cold store programme.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and supply chain partners.
  • Develop and maintain programme schedules, budgets, and delivery strategies.
  • Ensure robust governance, reporting, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive programme performance, identifying opportunities to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and safety.
  • Manage commercial performance, change control, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.
  • Champion health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all project activities.
  • Resolve complex technical and commercial challenges with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Provide regular progress updates to executive leadership and project sponsors.

About You

You are an accomplished project leader with a proven track record of delivering major construction or infrastructure programmes in demanding environments. You will have:

  • Extensive experience as a Project Director or Programme Director delivering large-scale capital projects.
  • Experience delivering cold storage, industrial, logistics, food manufacturing, warehouse, or similarly complex facilities.
  • Strong commercial and contractual management expertise.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Strong programme planning and risk management capabilities.
  • Experience managing projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accreditation (APM, PMP, RICS, MCIOB, CEng, or equivalent) is desirable.
