Main Contractor are seeking a hands on proactive Logistics Manager to be based on site working within the Operations team. Reporting into the Head of Logistics based on site and working closely with the Senior Construction Manager to coordinate the externals works package across multiple buildings. With the scale of the project there are essentially sites within sites ! Major Sub-Contract packages worth £3-30 Million for Landscaping, Piling, Earthworks, Drainage , Structural Steel and much more. Ideally candidates will have major project experience so they understand the importance of team work & comradery on site plus the constant nature or change, variation and adapting to program to keep progress. Its not uncommon for this requirement to amass 40,000 steps on site in a day plus be up and down the project offices. This is NOT a role for someone looking to sit behind a desk and manage from afar. All the rewards and progression is on offer but the right person will come in prove their worth and the rest will follow. What We're Looking For * Experience as a logistics coordinator / manager on major construction or infrastructure projects in the UK * Demonstrable success delivering logistics on site * Ideally based within an hour's drive of Taunton as the hrs and days will be intense due to the pace of program on site * Understanding of construction legislation, CDM Regulations and logistics best practice * Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills to the supply chain * Able to start employment before the 1st of December LATEST Our Client * Leading International Main Contractor * 20 Years + Success Across UK , Europe & USA * Extremely client focused often involved with ECI arrangements * Cash rich , robust business with deep pockets and strong order book Major Technology Project underway in Somerset **circa 15 Minutes drive from Taunton
