We are looking for an experienced Senior EHS Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental performance on a large, live data centre project in Slough. This is a senior, site-based role with responsibility for setting standards, driving compliance, and influencing safety culture across multiple contractors and workstreams. You will work closely with project leadership to ensure the project is delivered safely, responsibly, and in line with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all EHS activities on site across construction and commissioning phases
- Develop and implement the project EHS strategy, plans, and procedures
- Ensure full compliance with UK health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Provide visible leadership on site, promoting a strong and proactive safety culture
- Manage EHS teams and support supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors
- Lead site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Interface with clients, regulators, and third-party auditors on EHS matters
- Review RAMS, method statements, and high-risk activities
- Track EHS performance, reporting trends, actions, and improvements to senior management
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Senior EHS / HSE Manager role on large-scale construction or data centre projects
- Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Experience working in complex, multi-contractor environments
- Confident, visible leader with the ability to influence at all levels
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Relevant EHS qualifications (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent)
