A leading UK main contractor has been appointed to deliver a major £100 million industrial warehouse development in Reading Area. They are now seeking a highly motivated Project Lead to take full ownership of this flagship scheme. This is a large-scale, high-profile industrial project with a fast-track programme and significant technical complexity, requiring a proven leader who can manage programme, risk, and stakeholder relationships while driving performance across a substantial site team. They must have a proven track record in delivering 2 or more Industrial Projects throughout the full lifecycle of the project.

As Project Lead, you will hold overall responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of this £100m industrial warehouse, leading all site operations to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact for the client and key stakeholders, owning the master programme and critical path while proactively identifying and mitigating risk across multiple workstreams. Working closely with commercial and design teams, you will control change, manage variations, and protect commercial performance, while driving productivity, sequencing, and output across all trades. You will build and maintain strong relationships with the supply chain and consultants and will report directly to the Construction Director on this landmark scheme.

The business is open to established Project Leads / Senior Project Managers, as well as exceptional Project Managers ready to step up, provided they have relevant large-scale industrial experience and the capability to operate at this level with senior support in place.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Project Lead, Senior Project Manager, or strong Project Manager ready to step up
  • Track record delivering large-scale industrial / logistics or warehouse projects (£50m–£100m+)
  • Strong understanding of fast-track programmes, sequencing, and risk management
  • Confident leader with excellent client and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing large site teams and complex supply chains
  • UK-based experience essential
