Full EXPAT benefits for the right Operations Manager. We are looking to speak with exceptional Senior Projects Managers or Operations Managers who want to take a strategic view across multiple projects, but are equally comfortable getting boots on the ground and driving a major project when the business requires. This is a fluid position. The scope, responsibility and priorities will evolve around the needs of the business.
THE REAL JOB IS DELIVERY. You understand that successful projects don't happen by accident. They start with the right foundations, programs, strong relationships and teams that understand exactly what's expected of them. You also know that things don't always go to plan. Design changes, subcontractor performance, adverse weather and multiple competing challenges can all put pressure on the baseline program. When several of these factors land at once, that's where experience, commercial awareness, relationships and decisive leadership separate the very best from the rest.
These projects are across:
- Germany
- Holland
- Belgium
- Austria
Growth and project awards across these countries will be driven by the end client. This Main Contractor has negotiated 43.7% of the available work in this space, built on a history of strong performance and a genuine collaborative approach.
LET'S TALK ABOUT THE BUSINESS CULTURE. This group generally delivers projects on site approximately 20–30% quicker than its competitors. How? A tightly integrated supply chain, strong relationships, accountability and people who understand that everyone has a part to play. There are rewards for everyone, but everyone needs to be pulling in the same direction. This is NOT a 9–5 environment. 7am–7pm is very much the norm. Saturdays, late-night phone calls and extensive travel are part of the territory when project delivery demands it. If you're looking for a generic Main Contractor where you clock in, clock out and leave the problems for tomorrow, please STOP READING. This business rewards hard work, commitment and success. Its people aren't constantly looking elsewhere for another financial opportunity because they value what they've built and the environment they're part of.
THE QUESTION IS… WHAT MAKES YOU TICK? Do you thrive on getting projects over the line? Do you enjoy finding solutions when things get difficult? Can you take a struggling program, understand the issues and put a credible recovery strategy in place? Can you exceed expectations and build relationships where clients genuinely appreciate what you've delivered? There is something pretty special about handing over a project and having the client genuinely thank you for the effort. That's what this group is about. You need to enjoy what you do. This is a lifestyle decision, so enjoying the people and characters you work alongside is just as important as the role itself. The intention is for you to be based in one of the EU countries listed above.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- A proven track record delivering Data Centre projects for recognized Main Contractors.
- Senior Projects Manager or Operations Manager experience.
- The ability to make quick, decisive decisions while maintaining a strategic overview.
- Someone who can lift those around them, mentor others and LEAD FROM THE FRONT.
- Ideally an EU passport holder due to visa requirements, although the client will remain open-minded for the right individual.
THE PACKAGE
- €150,000–€200,000 gross basic salary
- Fully expensed accommodation.
- Flights home within Europe every 3.5–4 weeks, workload dependent.
- Company car or car allowance.
- Performance-related bonus.
- Private medical insurance.
- All business-related flights, parking and travel expenses covered.
INTERESTED? If you tick the boxes and genuinely recognize yourself in the description, I'd like to hear from you. Importantly, don't just send a CV and hope for the best. Make your introduction specific. Tell me about your Data Centre experience, the projects you've delivered, the challenges you've overcome and what makes you stand out. Make sure your contact details and project information are fully up to date before submitting. I'm not looking for someone who simply manages projects. I'm looking for someone who makes projects happen.
