We are looking for an MEP Design Manager to work on a Major Industrial Project in Somerset. As the MEP Design Manager, you will be managing the design, coordination and delivery of all things MEP. This is a people-centric business, where you will have exposure to real decision makers and your skills won’t go unnoticed. They pride themselves on working with the supply chain and end clients to find win-win solutions, and they do not build in a confrontational manner. They are 100% client focused.
Key Responsibilities / Design Leadership:
- Oversee design of critical systems including:
- LV/MV electrical distribution
- UPS systems and battery storage
- Cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, liquid cooling where applicable)
- BMS and controls
- Fire detection and suppression systems
- Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute Tier standards (Tier II IV) where applicable.
- Coordination requirements.
- Assess technical submissions during tender stage.
- Provide technical support.
