A crucial need has arisen for an Engineering & Technical Manager to work alongside the Project Director on this £150 Million award in Jamaica. Our client holds a strong financial position and values their people, treating them well. They ethically treat staff and offer a real expat experience. The Role

Working alongside the Project Director acting as the primary interface between the contractor, client, designers, specialist subcontractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities to ensure efficient design development and technical delivery. Ensuring designs are developed, reviewed, approved and implemented in accordance with contractual requirements, applicable standards, program constraints, budget targets, safety requirements and quality objectives. Looking at activities and ensuring the business is proactive in all aspects to ensure the critical path is hit. Managing the designer, temporary works, design interfaces and all-round coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Design Management
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams including:
    • Bridge structures
    • Highways and pavements
    • Geotechnical engineering
    • Hydrology and drainage
    • Temporary works
    • Utilities diversions
    • Environmental and sustainability disciplines

As part of the SLT, you will give support and guidance across Commercial, Quality Assurance, Support, Risk Management, Health, Safety & Environment.
