We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join a dynamic team delivering a large-scale Data Centre project in Austria. In this role you will play a key part in ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality delivery of a MW Data project. You will be embedded with project teams and empowered to influence safety culture, procedures and performance across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote, implement and uphold the company’s health, safety and environmental policies across the site.
- Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments, providing clear reports and corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with Austrian and EU Health & Safety legislation, construction regulations and environmental standards.
- Lead workplace inductions, toolbox talks and competence briefings for operatives, contractors and visitors.
- Monitor, record and investigate incidents, near-misses and safety observations – driving corrective measures and lessons learned.
- Support Project Managers in contractor engagement, permits to work, risk method statements (RAMS), and safety documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed best practice and continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Champion a positive safety culture and act as a trusted advisor on all EHS matters throughout the project lifecycle.
Your Profile
- Proven experience as an EHS Advisor within construction.
- NEBOSH.
- Excellent communication skills – able to engage confidently with site teams, subcontractors and senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to operate effectively within a fast-paced, multifaceted project environment.
- Willingness to be hands-on, visible on site and influential in driving safer ways of working.
- Happy to be based full time in Austria.
