Are you a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager with NEC & FIDIC experience on Major Transportation & Infrastructure Projects worth €35-40 Million? Due to continued growth and an exciting strategy across the Civil Engineering sector, our client is seeking to engage an ambitious and driven Commercial Manager to sit on a Major Project on a framework in and around the Dublin / Leinster region. Are you based in Ireland seeking a relocation or is the Emerald Isle calling you? Our client hires the brightest and best across the industry; they encourage collaboration and embrace innovative thinking. For these reasons, they are open to relocating the right person and their family.
What we need to see here:
- Around 10 years Post Graduate experience working for Main Contractors or Sub-Contractors in the Civil Arena.
- Strong communication and management skills.
- Solid quantity surveying degree from a reputable university.
- A desire to be chartered (SCS).
Responsibilities range from:
- Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations, applications for payment, reconciliations of valuations and costs, and amounts for contracts, sub-contractors, specialists, and suppliers.
- Provide necessary information to manage forecast and cashflow.
- Place sub-contract orders working with Procurement & Operations.
- Review contracts and highlight any risks/issues.
- Manage payments and valuations.
- Prepare take-offs in advance of requirements.
- Manage final accounts for each completed section of the works.
- Record and administer the contract to protect the company's position.
- Motivate, drive and mentor your commercial team.
