A leading UK Main Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior MEP Planner to join the delivery team on a major industrial construction project in Somerset.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple stakeholders and has a proven track record of delivering complex MEP programmes on large-scale construction projects.
The Role
Reporting to the Planning Manager, you'll take ownership of the MEP programme, ensuring works are planned, coordinated and delivered in line with key project milestones.
Working closely with the project team, specialist subcontractors and package managers, you'll monitor progress, identify programme risks and provide solutions to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and manage detailed MEP construction programmes using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate MEP activities with CSA, structural and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Monitor progress against programme and identify opportunities to improve productivity.
- Produce short-term and long-term look-ahead programmes.
- Analyse programme performance and report on critical path activities.
- Identify programme risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans where required.
- Work closely with Package Managers, Construction Managers and Commercial teams to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
- Attend planning, coordination and client meetings.
- Prepare progress reports and programme updates for senior management.
- Support commissioning and handover planning to ensure project milestones are achieved.
About You
We're looking for an experienced planner who has delivered major MEP packages on large-scale construction projects and is confident working with multiple stakeholders in a live project environment.
You'll ideally have
- Previous experience as a Senior MEP Planner or MEP Planner on major construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical installation sequencing.
- Proven experience using Primavera P6.
- Experience working for a Main Contractor.
- Previous experience on industrial, manufacturing, mission critical, pharmaceutical, energy or data centre projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify programme risks and develop practical solutions.
