We are looking for a Structural Steel Package Manager to lead one of the most technically demanding packages on a major industrial construction project.

We're looking for someone who can bring with them a strong understanding of quality assurance, safety and complex structural steel installations.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing the entire structural steel package from procurement through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Working closely with design, engineering and construction teams, you'll coordinate all aspects of fabrication, logistics and installation while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing the structural steel subcontractor from award through completion.
  • Coordinating fabrication, transport and erection activities.
  • Monitoring programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
  • Managing crane operations, lifting strategies and temporary works interfaces.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings and resolving technical issues.
  • Coordinating inspections, weld testing and QA documentation.
  • Managing NCRs, RFIs and technical queries.
  • Working closely with commercial teams regarding package performance.
  • Leading package meetings and reporting progress to senior management.

About You

You'll have significant experience delivering structural steel packages on highly regulated projects where quality and documentation are critical.

We're looking for

  • Previous Package Manager experience.
  • Structural steel erection and fabrication knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements.
  • Excellent subcontractor management skills.
  • Main Contractor experience
  • SMSTS and CSCS.
