We’re now looking for a Senior Financial Planning & Reporting Manager to join our Finance & Technology Directorate. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Reporting, you’ll lead a small team and oversee all aspects of the Central Management Accounting function, and the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, modelling and analysis that drives decision‑making across the organisation. This role operates at both a strategic and operational level, building strong relationships and contributing as part of the Directorate's management team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organisation‑wide annual budget process and regular forecasting cycles.
  • Deliver consolidated management accounts and month‑end reporting.
  • Develop and maintain forward‑looking financial models.
  • Prepare insightful reporting for the Board of Trustees, Committees and Executive Leadership.
  • Draw on your understanding of technology to drive improvements and efficiencies in financial processes and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal controls.
  • Act as deputy for the Head of Financial Planning & Reporting when required.

Qualifications

  • You must be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into meaningful insight.
  • Attention to detail, organisational ability and resilience under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to listen to and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong IT literacy, including experience with accounting systems and analytical tools.
  • Experience managing, motivating and developing team members.
