Our Communications and Marketing Team, and Engagement and Fundraising teams play a vital role in:

  • Being the voice of NSPCC's mission and ensuring every message reflects our commitment to protecting children and preventing abuse.
  • Making sure all our employees, and all our volunteers are well‑informed to support our mission.

Purpose of the Executive Assistant to the Director of Communications and Marketing and the Director of Engagement and Fundraising:

This role is key to delivering our communications, marketing and fundraising strategies and supporting the NSPCC's wider goals. The role exists to:

  • Provide effective support to Directors and senior management teams, ensuring the directorates work at their best.
  • Deliver high‑quality customer care to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, manage, and review administrative and information systems to keep processes smooth and reliable.
  • Work with colleagues to solve challenges and improve systems and processes.

What will I be doing as an Executive Assistant?

As Executive Assistant to the Directors of Communications & Marketing and Engagement & Fundraising, your work will ensure these directors can focus on driving campaigns, building relationships and raising vital funds - all while keeping operations running smoothly.

  • Be the right hand to the directors – managing diaries, travel, and priorities to maximise their time and impact.
  • Keep information flowing – organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and ensure actions are followed through.
  • Drive efficiency – develop and maintain smart admin systems that keep everything on track.
  • Represent the directorates professionally – handle enquiries and responses with discretion and excellent customer care.
  • Safeguard confidentiality – manage sensitive information with integrity and accuracy.
  • Enable collaboration – work closely with colleagues to solve challenges.

Good interpersonal, customer service and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Good ability to organise your own work to meet agreed objectives. Ability to solve problems and find solutions to challenges in processes and systems. Experience of managing meetings, including planning, arranging, facilitating and taking accurate notes. Highly trustworthy and able to manage confidential information.
