The NSPCC Cymru National Hub, based in Cardiff, has a new opportunity for a full‑time Team Manager (Social Work qualified) who will fully use and further enhance their influencing and communication skills to deliver innovative services to children, families and professionals involved with safeguarding children. We work directly with children and families either in their homes or at our regional hub based in Cardiff.

The role is office based, but with flexibility for some home working in accordance with business need. You will also have access to a Team Manager Development Programme alongside service‑specific training.

- Line‑manage a number of social workers and other professionally qualified staff, delivering front‑line services within neighbouring local authority areas.
- As a leader in the regional team, manage and shape innovative services within the themes of Sexual Abuse and Early Years, in line with the NSPCC current strategy.
- Help deliver locally on the recently awarded Home Office funding towards delivering and scaling up Letting the Future In (LTFI) over the next three years.
- Support the Pregnancy in Mind (PiM) programme, a preventative mental health service for expectant parents at risk of mild to moderate anxiety or depression.
- Support the Baby Steps evidence‑based, holistic perinatal education programme that helps parents prepare for and navigate the transition to parenthood.
- A recognised social work qualification and registration with the relevant social care council within the UK.
- Experience of supporting and developing staff within the safeguarding field, with knowledge and passion to drive improved outcomes for children and families.
- A confident communicator with colleagues, including senior leadership and external partners, and also assertive and resilient when raising and escalating safeguarding concerns with other agencies.
