We are currently working in a hybrid way with colleagues expected to work at their chosen office location for 40% of their working month. NS&I is currently looking for an IT Performance Analyst to join its IT Team and provide critical support in ensuring seamless governance, reporting, and operational management. The IT Performance Analyst is a hybrid role combining technical, analytical, and administrative skills to support decision making and improve IT service delivery. The analyst plays a key role in coordinating the NS&I IT Senior Leadership Team (IT SLT), facilitating meetings, and maintaining performance reporting processes. They are also responsible for creating dashboards, automating workflows, and producing actionable insights. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role involves managing reporting schedules, ensuring compliance standards, and supporting stakeholders with tailored information.

This role is ideal for someone with analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills, and experience in using data to drive IT service excellence.

Essential experience

  • Substantial experience in managing IT governance, reporting and administrative responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and accommodating ad-hoc short notice tasks.

Essential qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field.

Essential skills

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills to track and monitor complex actions and reports.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The applicant must be able to understand and use technical terminology confidently, while also translating complex concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.

Essential technical knowledge

  • Experience in using tools for task tracking and report preparation (e.g., MS Teams Planner, MS Planner, Excel, MS PPT, MS Co-Pilot).

Selection process details

This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills. To apply, please click the link on this advert and follow the steps to complete the application form.

In your application you will be asked to provide the following:

  • An outline of your career history and qualifications with your key responsibilities and achievements.
  • A 250 word personal statement explaining how you meet the essential experience and skills listed in the person specifications.
  • A 250 word statement for the selected sift behaviour.
  • A 250 word statement for the selected technical skill.

We will assess applications on your personal statement, behaviour and technical skill statements. In the event we receive a large number of applicants, applications will be sifted first on the Personal Statement. Only those that meet the minimum acceptable score for this criteria will qualify for the full sift and be considered for interview.

If shortlisted, you will be invited to attend a 1 hour panel interview via video call. For the interview you will be given an assessment task to prepare beforehand. Full details will be included in the invite but will involve creating 2 summary reports aimed at different audiences on a provided topic. You will then discuss and explain your approach with the panel at the beginning of the interview.

Interviews will take place on the 23rd and 27th March 2026.
