The Role
To provide administrative, operational, and compliance support across the Security, ICT, and Data Protection functions, ensuring the effective delivery of key business objectives, regulatory requirements, and organisational standards. The role is responsible for supporting the achievement of defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), compliance targets, and service delivery objectives relating to data protection, information security, personnel vetting, and ICT administration activities.
Key Objectives
Data Protection
- Reviewing, implementing, updating, and documenting companywide data protection policies and procedures.
- To provide support to ensure data protection and Security is maintained to the required standard and applicable regulations
- Provide general administrative support to the data protection lead
- Work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of data protection compliance across NSG

Review SEQ’s (Supplier Evaluation Questionnaires) in support of wider business functions and onboarding of new approved suppliers
Security
- Reviewing, implementing, updating, and documenting companywide information security policies and procedures.
- Assisting with security audits.
- Management of Classified Documentation
- To assist with the management of the security infrastructure of NSG and, where relevant, its supply chain, ensuring the provision and maintenance of appropriate security arrangements for all Civil Nuclear and Defence projects.
Personal Vetting
- Coordinate the processing of NSG security clearances
- Processing SC and DV security applications
- Organising transfer of clearances
- Processing annual SAF’s
- Liaise with client vetting offices
- Support colleagues with ongoing Aftercare
ICT Administration
- Support the ICT team with general administration tasks including
- Asset agreements
- User request forms
- Software licence request forms
- QSHEW document management
- Reaching out to suppliers and raising orders for new equipment
Person Specification
Qualifications
- GCSE qualifications including English, Maths and ICT or equivalent - Essential
- L3 in Business Administration or other relevant subjects or equivalent experience - Essential
- IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent - Relevant training will be provided if required
Experience & Knowledge
- Well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work to deadlines and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail - Essential
- Experience of maintaining accurate records, registers and documentation within a controlled environment - Essential
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity - Essential
- Experience of routine recording, reporting and analysis of information, including both written, verbal and numerical data - Essential
- Knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Information Security principles or related compliance frameworks - Essential
- Familiar with integrated management system operating procedures and requirements etc. - Desirable
- Understanding of government security classifications and the handling of classified information - Desirable

- Competent user of MS Office - Essential
- Able to organise and prioritise own work - Essential
- Maintenance of database and physical records and files - Desirable

Package
Hours - 37.5 hours per week
Overtime – 37.5-60hours per week – Time and half
Overtime – 60+ hours per week or Sundays – Double time
