NSG Environmental Ltd has been delivering work programmes in the nuclear industry for over 40 years. Traditionally in the areas of decommissioning and waste management, NSG now has a broad customer base and provides a wide spectrum of services across the nuclear project lifecycle, ranging from expert consultancy support, R&D and engineering design to rekit and refurbishment, site installation services and high-hazard physical decommissioning works, amongst others. This work is delivered at NSG’s own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles. The Role
To provide senior technical and operational support across the Company's ICT infrastructure, systems, and services, ensuring the availability, security, and continuous improvement of business-critical technology platforms. Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact and escalation resource for Systems Engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and coordination of support activities to ensure the effective delivery of ICT services across the organisation. Support the ICT Manager in the planning, implementation, maintenance, and development of the Company's IT infrastructure, systems, and technology roadmap, while assisting with the delivery of projects, operational resilience, cybersecurity initiatives, and service improvements.
Key Objectives
- Technical Support Development of Company systems to enhance current and new procedures
- Process improvements in respect of IT solutions to the business and management problems
- Development, installation and support of database records
- Identification and liaison with management team on options to enhance and improve Company performance
- Technical support and training of NSG IT users
- Interface with the Company’s chosen IT provider
- Establish monthly Core communication posts to satisfy business needs
Project Support
- Assist the projects team with deliverables when required
- Support site projects with IT technical support
Security
- Management of personnel identification cards and door access control fobs
- Ensure all leaver network account closed in line with termination dates
NIS Group & Site Support
- Delivery of proven systems Group and site wide including commissioning, support and training
Facilities
- Help to ensure the right contracts/contractors are providing the best service at competitive prices
- Identify future requirements in line with the business
- Support to NSG remote sites
Security IT & Facility Accreditation
- Assist NSG security team in maintaining relevant accreditations
- Maintain compliance with company data protection policies and procedures in line with legislation

- Hours - 37.5 hours per week
- Overtime – 37.5-60 hours per week – Time and half
