ROLE SUMMARY
To competently perform the duties of a qualified technician as part of a team engaged in the installation, modifications, maintenance, repair, testing and trials of all types of systems and equipment as instructed by Project Manager / Supervisor / Project Engineer, in accordance with relevant drawings and Safe Systems of Work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation Operations (including testing and trials)
- Maintenance and repair
- Carry out support installation, modification, EMIT (examination, maintenance, inspection & test), decommissioning tasks as required.
- Work from schematics / diagrams / drawings to install equipment.
- Install systems and equipment in such a way as to comply with any relevant regulatory or legislative requirements.
- Complete and maintain as necessary all associated records and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training
- City and Guilds Level 3 certification in Electrical Engineering
- IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification
- Experience in electrical installation, examination, maintenance, inspection & test, decommissioning
- Familiar with site / factory work environments
- Fully conversant with IEE Regulations
- Work experience within engineering, science or construction environment
- Familiar with working on nuclear licensed site or similar with specific hazards / operations
