We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our Crisis Assessment and Intensive Support Team (CAIST) within the Suffolk Crisis Service. This is a dynamic and rewarding role supporting children and young people in acute mental health distress. You will be responsible for assessing referrals, delivering direct care, and managing a caseload in collaboration with a multi‑disciplinary team. The role involves work in a fast‑paced environment where your clinical expertise and decision‑making will have a direct impact on service users and their families.
Responsibilities
- Undertake direct assessments and deliver care plans for children and young people in crisis.
- Ensure the appropriateness of referrals and continuity of care across services.
- Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners including CAMHS, social care, and education.
- Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students.
- Maintain accurate mental health clustering and documentation across all stages of care.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
