We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our Crisis Assessment and Intensive Support Team (CAIST) within the Suffolk Crisis Service. This is a dynamic and rewarding role supporting children and young people in acute mental health distress.
You will be responsible for:
- Assessing referrals, delivering direct care, and managing a caseload in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Undertaking direct assessments and delivering care plans for children and young people in crisis.
- Ensuring the appropriateness of referrals and continuity of care across services.
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners including CAMHS, social care, and education.
- Providing supervision and support to junior staff and students.
- Maintaining accurate mental health clustering and documentation across all stages of care.
- Contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
