An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Payroll Manager to join the Finance team on a full-time basis. The finance team has recently been restructured, and this is therefore an exciting time to join a progressive and dynamic team.
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for monitoring the outsourced payroll function and serve as the payroll specialist in the Trust. Responsibilities include:
- Understanding complex payroll issues and manually checking/re-calculating pay and overpayments as necessary.
- Being familiar with rules around pension and personal tax, pointing people where to get appropriate advice.
- Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of payroll services to Trust employees in accordance with the contracted SLA agreement.
- Maintaining effective communications between Payroll Provider, Finance Department, HR Department, and localities to encourage a 'blame free' culture.
- Being proactive in development, introduction, and monitoring of robust procedures to support effective delivery of the payroll service.
- Working with key stakeholders to ensure optimum performance and best practice.
Dependent on the candidate's circumstances, the formal base may be either Ipswich or Norwich on appointment, and it will be possible to work part of the time from home. NSFT supports flexible working and will consider part-time and flexible working requests in the fulfilment of these roles.
